Only acceptable waste materials may be placed in the container. This includes non-hazardous solid waste, organic waste, and if applicable, recyclable materials (defined in the Terms and Conditions provided during the checkout process).
Excluded materials that are not to be placed in the container include, but are not limited to:
- waste tires
- radioactive materials
- volatile, corrosive, flammable, explosive, biomedical, infectious, bio-hazardous, or regulated medical waste
- hazardous waste, toxic substance or material (as defined by, characterized or listed under applicable federal, state or local laws or regulations)
- any materials containing information protected by federal, state or local privacy and security laws or regulations
- special waste not approved in writing by WM, including not limited to:
- lubricating/hydraulic oil
- medical waste
- motor oil
- other flammable liquids
- petroleum-contaminants
- propane tanks
- radioactive materials
- aerosol cans
- batteries
- oil filters
- antifreeze
- asbestos
- chemical products
- herbicides and pesticides
- soil/lead paint chips
- animals
- appliances
- barrels
- bricks
- concrete
- demo bricks
- dirt
- industrial waste
- microwaves
- monitors
- railroad ties
- televisions
- tree stumps
- all liquids
- contaminated oils
- fluorescent tubes
- any items that could adversely affect the operation or useful life of the facility(ies) receiving customer’s waste materials
- any others items or materials prohibited by federal, state or local laws or regulations
